I consider myself a repair person, I have always enjoyed the challenges involved with weekend construction projects-- electrical, plumbing,and car repair. In medicine, Orthopedic surgery was a perfect fit for me -- without getting my hands too dirty. It was great to combine my desire to repair things with human physiology and anatomy.

After coaching various sports, and being involved with my three sports-oriented college age children, I understand the issues parents must face with their young athletes.

My personal goal is to see my patients as close as possible to their scheduled time. I appreciate the fact that everyone's time is valuable, so I try to spend as much time as possible with each individual patient, so they can participate in the decision making for their particular orthopedic concern. As a means to relax, I enjoy golf, skiing, and tennis, and also donate my time and skills to third world countries, including Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti, once to twice a year.
