I first became interested in Orthopedics when I was 13 years old. I was playing football and broke my back. My Orthopedic Surgeon impressed me with his knowledge and compassion for what I was going through. My interest in the specialty continued to grow over the years with various athletic injuries that I sustained. A rotation in Orthopedics during medical school confirmed my desire to be an Orthopedist. A young athlete came into the Emergency Room with a dislocated shoulder. He was in incredible pain. The Orthopedic residents expertly reduced the shoulder in no time. The patient was so thankful! That is what I love about Orthopedic Sports Medicine. Active people are given the chance to return to their active lifestyles.

I am very proud to be Board Certified in both Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. I was very fortunate to have trained under Dr. J.R. Steadman of the world renowned Steadman -Hawkins clinic. That experience has allowed me to expertly treat professional athletes along with weekend warriors. I am a former team physician for the Arizona Diamondbacks and currently treat athletes from a wide spectrum of sports.

I look forward to meeting and working with new patients. The challenges of sports injuries continues to motivate me. I apologize in advance for not always being on time during my office hours. My established patients come to know that I spend as much time as I need to best address their individual needs.
