Many years ago, I was playing football for Queen's University in the National Canadian College Championship game when I broke my neck. I thought I'd spend my college career playing football and then I was intending to go into law. That accident changed the course of my life. It ended my football career and introduced me to the doctors and surgeons that treated me. I was very impressed with them as doctors and found them very likable men. I changed my major to pre-med and pursued my orthopaedic career.

I moved to Phoenix and established Arizona Bone and Joint Specialists in 1985. We now have seven board certified orthopedic surgeons on staff. Sometimes I think I was born an orthopedic surgeon. I love everything about my job - the people, the patients, and the variety of what I do. I consult with athletes, perform joint replacements, and treat degenerative joint disease. Over the course of my career, I have treated athletes when they were young and now I am seeing them in later life.
