As a corporate finance major at Princeton, I thought I wanted to work on Wall Street. I discovered pretty quickly that Wall Street wasn't for me. My roommate was a pre-med student and I switched into his pre-med classes and out of my finance ones. I soon learned that medicine would be a good fit for me. I grew up in a sports family since my dad was a major league baseball player. I'd played baseball too, so sports medicine was a logical choice for me.

I am now the team physician for the Coyotes, Cardinals as well as several high school and college teams. Orthopedics is exciting in and of itself, but dealing with professional athletes puts a twist on my job that I find interesting. These athletes want to get back to full steam YESTERDAY. I want all of my patients to know that I see all of my patients personally. I don't cram my schedule full which enables me to spend ample time with each patient. I always try a non-operative treatment plan first. I think it's important for you to know that I treat all my patients the same whether you are a professional athlete or an administrative assistant.
