Dr. Bruns’ office is already filling up with medical supplies for his next trip to the Dominican Republic in October. He recently spent a week there performing orthopedic procedures on this underserved population. He has been going there one or two times every year for the last 9 years.

The foundation that organizes these trips is the Arizona Dominican Medical Friends.  Every year over the last 9 years, the organization of the trips and surgical facilities have consistently improved thanks to this foundation.  On this recent June trip, Dr. Bruns traveled with 1 physician assistant (Chris Lang of OSNA), 2 nurses, and 4 pre-health students.  A representative from Biomet also accompanied Dr. ...continued

Earlier this year, Dr. Ralph Wilson and Dr. Delwyn Worthington traveled to Haiti on a medical mission.  The trip was under the auspices of Northwest Haiti Christian Mission, with whom Dr. Worthington has been serving since 2003.  Northwest Haiti Christian Mission is a holistic ministry and development organization committed to the people of the Northwest region of Haiti. 

Although this was Dr. Wilson’s first trip to Haiti, this was his tenth international mission trip.  He has served in such places as Ecuador, Brazil, Taiwan, Kuwait and Africa. OSNA is excited to announce that we will be adding 3 new doctors over the next 60 days.  Christopher Bryce, MD, will be joining Mezona Orthopaedics division in August after completing his fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Orthopedics at Insall Scott Kelly Institute in New York City.  The Phoenix Orthopedic Consultants division will be welcoming Oner Khera. MD, in September with the completion of his fellowship in Orthopedic Surgery of the Spine at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York.  Vishal Ganesh, MD will be joining Canyon Orthopedic Surgeons division in August after completing his fellowship in Lower Extremity Recontruction at St. Croix Regional Medical Center in Wisconsin.

OSNA is proud to announce that two of our divisions have been named in Becker's Orthopedic & Spine Review as one of the 50 Orthopedic Practices to Know.  Arizona Orthopaedic Associates at Gateway and Canyon Orthopaedic Surgeons were both named in the list. Becker's Orthopedic & Spine Review is a bimonthly publication offering news and analysis on business and legal issues relating to orthopedic and spine practices. PHOENIX, Arizona–May 1, 2011 - Today, OSNA, PLLC (“OSNA”) celebrated its one-year anniversary as a single medical practice focused on orthopedics.  OSNA is made up of over 60 physicians, about 100 total healthcare providers and about 400 employees.  There are over 25 clinical locations covering the entire Phoenix metropolitan area.
