"I knew...that I couldn't just put a band-aid on this."
Todd goes to school at Florida Gulf Coast University. While cutting back trees for his Mom in Florida, Todd sliced open his left forearm with a machete. “I knew when I saw white that it was probably bone and that I couldn’t just put a band-aid on this”. He was rushed to the ER in Naples where he was stapled and prescribed pain medications. Todd’s Mom is a nurse in Arizona and insisted that Todd fly back to Arizona for treatment. He had an appointment with his OSNA doctor 2 days later and was in surgery 2 days after that. His doctor repaired 3 tendons and part of a nerve. It was an outpatient procedure and he flew back to Florida 2 days later. He has been back to check in with his OSNA doctor twice since his surgery.
“My doctor did a great job. I am pretty much 100%. I am left-hand dominant and I am writing with it again.”
